Post-tension concrete is a type of reinforced concrete that uses steel cables or tendons that are tensioned after the concrete has been poured and cured. There are no saw cuts in a post-tension slab which makes the acrylic surfacing last longer. The cables are typically arranged in a grid pattern and anchored to the concrete at each end. Once the concrete has cured, hydraulic jacks are used to tension the cables, putting the concrete into compression and creating a strong, durable structure.
Microfiber concrete is a more modern type of concrete that uses synthetic fibers, such as polypropylene or nylon, to reinforce the concrete. These fibers are mixed into the concrete during the mixing process and create a web-like network throughout the concrete, which helps to improve the concrete's durability and resistance to cracking. Microfiber is in all of our concrete jobs.
